​6th Annual WTHS Drama Club / Drama Boosters Scrip Gift Card Fundraiser
What is a Scrip Gift Card?
Gift cards that we sell at face value and the Scrip Company gives the Drama Boosters a small percentage of the sale.
How do parents and students participate in this fundraiser?
Take orders for gift cards and collect the money at the time you take the order.  Checks should be made out to Drama Boosters.  Explain to the customer that there is no markup on the cards; s/he will get back exactly the amount of money on the front of the gift card.  Be sure to provide the customer with the cards after you get them on December 3 since gift cards make great holiday presents! This year everyone in Drama Club needs to participate by selling at least $20.                                     
Important dates:
October 5                Order forms distributed to the drama club
November 8           Order forms DUE – Bring order forms and money to the drama club meeting
                                      Checks should be made out to Drama Boosters
December 3            Fundraiser gift cards will be distributed at the children’s play

The survey for parents for Warren's Strategic Plan is now available. Please take a moment to fill it out. Especially important this year is one of the areas of focus of the plan is the wing at OP with the Auditorium and pool. While I cannot tell you how to respond, I would request two theatre-related responses: 1) The auditorium itself is lacking in terms of providing students the highest quality education in theatre. There is no scene shop to safely build sets; the lights are out-dated, inefficient, and in poor condition; the sound system does not work consistently and lacks the necessary equipment to fully support the musical and other events. The theatre is (should be) a community space, and as the only theatre in Gurnee, it should be a top-notch facility. It currently isn't.

The other theatre-related response is the lack of a technical theatre class. We currently have Intro to Theatre, Acting I and Acting II. Many more of our students are currently going on to careers in technical theatre, and yet we have no curricular offerings for those students. 

Please take a few minutes to fill out the Strategic Planning Survey. It is not just important for the future of theatre at Warren, but it is important to hear the voices of the parents about all aspects of Warren's programs, in and out of the classroom. "

Hello All,
Just a reminder that our Scrip Fundraiser was distributed to students on October 6th and the forms are due November 11th at our drama club meeting in the Almond Black Box. Cards will be distributed on December 6th at the Children's show (Almond).

This is our 4th year of doing the Scrip Fundraiser and it has always been very successful. We purchase gift cards at cost through Scrip and our department gets a percentage back. Please participate in this awesome fundraiser!
