The money raised helps offset the cost of the Illinois High School Theatre Fest, and purchase needed supplies for Warren Theatre. 24 Hour Theatre-What you need to know! Thespianship/ Seniors: To become (be inducted in the Honor Society) a Thespian you must participate in some way in 24 Hour Theatre and have 100 hours on a show. To get graduation cords, you must participate as a senior. When is it?- January 30th & 31st at the Almond Black Box Friday, January 30th 4pm-6pm (writers till 7pm)-Everyone attends. We will play ensemble games, the theme will be revealed, and we will start brainstorming. Saturday, January 31 Schedule 7am-8am- Writers and Directors 8:30am- Actors arrive 9am Morning Opening Ceremony/ Get Tasks and Times 9-10am- Stage Manager Crew Create List of Needs 10am- Writers leave and join crew 9-2pm Work on Shows (Cast & Crew) 2-5pm Tech Rehearsals (half hour each) 5-6pm Dinner (provided) 6-6:30pm Get ready 6:30pm Warm Ups 6:30pm Open House 7pm Show 8pm Show Over 8-9:30pm Strike Scheduling Sign up for your time availability. Look at your schedule and the 24 Hour Theatre schedule. Choose a role according to your schedule and time availabilty. Example: If you have a busy Saturday, maybe try to be a writer so that you don't have to come all day Saturday. We would like you to be there as much as possible but we understand if you have to come and go. Roles/Responsibilities Try something new! To be a Thespian you need to have various roles on your Warren Theatre resume.
Preference of Roles Hopefully everyone will get the role they would like to have, but if a tie breaker is needed, Thespians will get preference and then seniority gets preference. Food Dinner will be provided on Saturday, January 31st, but you must bring your own lunch/breakfast. Any questions? Ask your directors! Interested Crew should join the cast as we do our first read through, set a rehearsal schedule, and begin our quest to state in the 20th Anniversary of Warren State Championship. Note: Speech members are excused from Speech to attend Tuesday's rehearsal, but should communicate with Mrs. Cooper and their speech coaches. You will need to be moving between buildings, so bundling up is necessary.
