When do we leave?
- We leave after school (3:30) from the OP Auditorium on Thursday. The plan is to get to the hotel, drop our luggage, grab a quick bite to eat, and head over for Opening Ceremonies!
When do we come back?
- Giggles performs Saturday at 10am and 11:30am. After the second show, we will eat, load up in the bus and drive home. We anticipate being on the road by 1:30pm, and back at Warren around 5pm on Saturday.
Where are we staying and who are our roommates?
- Quality Inn & Suites University Are Bloomington, IL - here are the room assignments.
What should I do with my luggage on Thursday at school?
- O'Plaine - bring it to the Auditorium before school. I'll make sure it's safe and sound until we leave from there at the end of the day.
- Almond - Ms. Doering will open the Green Room before school. You can drop you luggage in there, and grab it after school.
Can I leave my car at OP overnight?
- If at all possible, try to get a ride on Thursday so you don't have to. However, if you do need to drive, park in the South Lot. Send my your car info (Make, Model and License Plate), and I'll let the school know.
Where can I get information about the festival and what to go see and do?
- Festival Website
- Download the Fest App!!!
- Search IHSTF 2020 in the App Store.
- Seriously though - this app has workshop descriptions and show info and all sorts of goodies!
What if there's an emergency back home and we need to contact a teacher?
- Call Mr. Miller at 630-677-1609. Student phones should be silenced during shows, but I'll keep mine accessible in case of emergency.
If I missed anything you have a question about, shoot me an email or text, and I'll let you know (and add it here for others to see). This has always been one of my favorite weekends of the year, and I am excited to share this opportunity with you all again!
Cheers!
Bring stuff to decorate my car.
And send music ideas to Mr. Miller!
We are meeting at 8am to decorate my car at spot 13 near the corner of Grandview and Greenleaf. Drop off- is the corner of Old Grand and Grand Ave.
After we march, we will pull off near the OP Campus spend a brief moment de-decorating my car, and then students can be picked up. Note that it gets very busy there, so it may be wise to have a pick-up a little away from the campus.
Let me know if you have any questions.
