Please read the following information carefully if you would like to submit a performance for the Live Arts Scholarship Competition.
What is the competition? There are 3 categories
The top 3 performers in each category are pre-selected by a panel of judges. The top 3 performers in each category will advance to a final vote ONLINE. From there, a public vote will be conducted ONLINE at http://visionsource-myeyexpert.com/ The overall winner with the most votes will receive a $1000 scholarship. The other 2 category vote leaders each win a $250 gift certificate for designer sunglasses from My Eye Xpert. How do I submit? Record a video and upload it to YouTube. You MUST label the entry: WTHS LIVE ARTS CONTEST 2019 (your name) ex. WTHS LIVE ARTS CONTEST 2019 Suzy Sample Fill out this form (copy and paste the youtube link to the form) https://forms.gle/Fh31bdd2xpxCq4DNA Video should be less than 5 minutes. Deadline is Monday, April 29th **Entries must be a solo performance or backed by an entity not receiving any award This means that if you choose to have accompaniment, they need to understand that they are only support and not part of the competition in terms of receiving prizes. The drama club is taking its first field trip to see the play Frankenstein. Please see below for specific information. Please contact Ms. Colgan with any questions!
When: Wednesday November 7th Show time: 7:00pm Depart from Oplaine: 4:00pm (we will take a bus as a group) Where: Court Theatre (Part of the University of Chicago Campus) 5535 S Ellis Ave Chicago, IL Cost: $30/person (due no later than September 28th) Checks made out to WTHS. In addition to the show, we are doing a talk-back with the cast and get to tour the set!!! Click HERE to sign up! Other information: This trip is limited!
